5 tips to help you stick to your healthy new year goals
Set achievable goals
Start with something we know we can do. For example, it may be unrealistic to say, “I’m going to work out for an hour every day.” A more achievable goal may be, “I’m going to exercise 15 minutes every day.” Starting small and working up can be an effective way to start forming new habits.
A broad goal of better health can be broken down into smaller goals. You could begin with a small, specific commitment such as making your own healthy lunch.
Track your progress
Writing a diary is a helpful reminder of your goals and gives you a sense of accomplishment. Feeling proud of your progress will go a long way to forming a new habit that will last.
Positive reinforcement is key to maintaining new habits. Stick with it, but most importantly, forgive yourself if you go off track one day, just don’t use it as an excuse to stop altogether…Get back on track the next day! You won’t be perfect, but you will be improving yourself. Some change is better than no change. The key is not to give up.
Keep subluxation free!
Having regular adjustments with Chiropractic care is an important part of keeping healthy. Improving Posture, movement and nervous system function, helps you to perform at your very best. If you are feeling more energy and pain free you are much more likely to stick to your New Year goals.
